To our NightOwls fans —
In our game on June 22, a gentleman in attendance at Serauxmen Stadium had a medical emergency that stopped the game and all activities, as his situation took priority. Sadly, the man — known to many, including some of our players — did not make it, and we are all grieving this loss.
The family has shared the following note with us — “Please thank the staff, volunteers and the nurse and doctor that were there and helped. They are SuperHeroes.”
Prior to our next home game, this Thursday, June 30, 6:35pm, we will pause to remember him and to pay tribute to him and his family.
We have been asked — yes, any tickets from the June 22 game can be exchanged for a future game, preferably this Thursday, or the games July 5-6. Exchanges must be made in person as the physical ticket needs to be turned in — that can be done at the gate, or at the team office inside Serauxmen Stadium. Hours this week are Wed-Thurs, 10am-5pm, then closed from Friday through Sunday for the Canada Day long weekend, reopening on Monday, July 4 at 10am.
As for the game itself, which was halted out of respect for the man and his family, with agreement of both teams and the umpires, we are working on the details of the suspended game being resumed, but it is not likely to be at Serauxmen Stadium.
